Congratulations to graduates of the latest puppy class who also all passed their S.T.A.R. Puppy certification test and were awarded the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Award!

Cindy and Opal gave an interactive presentation on safety around dogs with a demonstration of service dog tasks at the Dubuque Montessori School on Tuesday morning. Teachers as well as children enjoyed the presentation!

Congratulations, Wrigley and pet parent and partner, Jenny Schauer on Wrigley's certification as a therapy dog with Canine Connection! Wrigley is Canine Connection's first certified therapy dog. Canine Connection's new therapy dog program is the first in the world to require dog candidates to be trained using force-free methods - no shock, choke chains, prong collars, or dominance-based maneuvers. Evaluators are also required to demonstrate a commitment to force-free training methods.
